The Jianghehui Landscape Pedestrian Bridge is a spatial Z-shaped hybrid arch structure spanning the Grand Canal. Through optimal load distribution, utilization of high-performance materials, parametric BIM-driven modeling techniques, and an innovative construction sequencing approach, the bridge achieves enhanced structural safety, improved user comfort, and long-term sustainability. The bridge seamlessly integrates urban connectivity, pedestrian comfort, and cultural heritage, serving as a dynamic landmark and eco-friendly urban link.

The Jianghehui “Seamless Bridge” in Hangzhou is a 660 m Z-shaped continuous tied-arch pedestrian bridge inspired by traditional embroidery. Utilizing parametric BIM modelling, advanced materials (Q420qD steel, UHPC), and prefabrication, it achieves structural efficiency, seismic resilience, and pedestrian comfort. The bridge features asymmetric spans, unilateral suspension, tuned mass dampers, and complex curved-twisted arch piers. Blending heritage with modern design, it symbolically reconnects divided urban spaces, promotes sustainability, and embodies living cultural legacy along the Grand Canal.
