IABSE People And Paper Awards

Where and how can I submit a nomination for the People and Paper Awards?
- To submit nominations for the People and Paper Awards, please send an email or contact your respective National Group. 
- Your National Group will submit using the Online Submission Platform.
    
When is the deadline for submission for the People and Paper Awards?
- Submission platform is open until 31 March 2024.  It is highly recommended to contact your National Groups early before the submission deadline.

 When will be the winners of the People and Paper Awards announced?
 - The winners are decided and announced after the Executive Committee spring meeting.

When will be the People and Paper Awards presented?
- The Awards will be presented at the IABSE Awards Gala Dinner in Zurich, Switzerland.

    IABSE Projects and Technology Awards

    I am not a member of IABSE. Can I submit a nomination for the Project and Technology Awards?
    - For the Project and Technology Awards, the person submitting the nomination must be an IABSE member.

    How can I submit a nomination for the IABSE Projects and Technology Awards?
    - Instructions on how to submit a nomination for specific Awards can be found here (How to Participate)

    How many projects can I submit?
    - A member can submit unlimited number of nominations, but a project can only be submitted in 2 categories.

    When is the deadline for submission for the IABSE Projects and Technology Awards?
     - Submission platform is open until 31 March 2024.

    When will be the winners of the IABSE Projects and Technology Awards announced?
    - The winners of IABSE Project and Technology Awards will be announced and presented at the Awards Ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland.

    What will be the prize?
    - The winners will receive IABSE Trophy and Certificate and will be reported in the following IABSE SEI journal.

    Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner

    I am not a member of IABSE. Can I join the Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner?
     - Yes, IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner is open to the public.

    When and where will be the IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner?
    - The IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner 2024 will take place at the Theatre Hall of Volkshaus Zurich, Switzerland. The date will be announced soon.

    How can I register for the Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner?
    - Click here to register. 

    How can I travel to Volkshaus Theater?
    -  P    ublic transport: from Zurich mainstation (HB) if you take tram nr. 3, 15, please get down at the stop Stauffacher (a big church), and walk for about 5 minutes (about 400 m) towards Volkshaus. The event will take place in the ground level (hall).

    Where can I stay in Zurich?
     - There are no pre-selected hotels for the participants.  Please click this link for more information.

    What kind of outfit should I wear?
     - A formal or business suit will be appropriate for the Awards Ceremony. But you will not be over-dressed if you want to join with a black tie and dinner jacket.

     - Absolutely. You can become one of our Sponsors for this very exclusive event.

    How can I become Sponsor for IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner?
    - There are limited slots available for Sponsorship.  First come, first serve, so please book your slot as soon as possible! Please get in touch with Ms Cornelio at cheryl.cornelio@iabse.org for Sponsorship packages available.

    Does Sponsorship include complimentary seat(s) at the IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner?
    - Yes, each sponsor will have one complimentary seat at the IABSE Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner.

    What are the benefits of being a Sponsor for this event?
    -Your company logo will be displayed throughout the event.  On stage, the company profile on the programme brochure, invitations, official website, email promotional campaign and will be acknowledged by the host. You will get a chance to mingle and establish new contacts with the participants. 

    Can I bring and distribute flyers, brochures, giveaways and pull-ups during the event?
    -  Yes, sponsors will be given a special corner/place to display their promotional materials.
