The IABSE Academy is an initiative of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), serving as the association’s educational and knowledge-sharing hub. It offers learning opportunities for structural engineering professionals at every stage of their careers while fostering collaboration and exchange within the global IABSE community.
More than just a learning platform, the IABSE Academy provides a space for members to connect, share experiences, and build lasting professional networks. It is a one-stop resource where young engineers and experienced professionals alike can grow, engage, and stay connected with one another.
IABSE Academy is expected to be open from 1 June 2026.
DIGITAL RESOURCES The platform provides a curated library of IABSE content, including past webinar recordings, keynote lectures, conference presentations, lecture series, reports, and animations. These resources feature insights from leading academics and practitioners, as well as courses designed specifically for online learning. | TOOLBOX A practical resource for structural engineers, the Toolbox offers a specialized translator for structural engineering terminology and a collection of useful professional links. | IABSE COMMUNITY A networking hub for IABSE members and Academy students, this feature functions like a dedicated social platform—enabling communication, knowledge exchange, and collaboration within and beyond the Academy. | IABSE REPOSITORY An exclusive archive of the association’s intellectual property. Access is granted only to IABSE members, depending on their role or function within the association. |
Who can Register?
The program is open to anyone interested in structural engineering, especially young professionals, graduate students, and experienced engineers seeking specialization. Fees depend on course length, with discounts for IABSE members and participants from low-income countries.
When can I Register?
The IABSE Secretariat is working on the Academy platform. The updated platform is expected to be ready on 1 June 2026. Once launched, members will be able to access the Academy directly through the IABSE website and will be notified as soon as registration opens.
