IABSE Bulletins

IABSE has expanded its publication series under the Name 'IABSE Bulletins'. IABSE Bulletin Editorial Board takes care of all different types of publications (except for the journal SEI):
• Structural Engineering Documents (SEDs) provide comprehensive, in-depth coverage of a specific topic relevant to practicing structural engineers. They are reports of high scientific and technical standard, offering rigorous analysis and authoritative guidance.

• Case Studies (CSs) present a detailed examination of a specific project, event, or engineering scenario. They offer practical insights, data, and lessons learnt that illuminate broader principles or highlight findings drawn from real-world applications.
• Special Publications (SPs) cover topics that do not fall within the scope of SEDs or CSs. They primarily focus on best practices, practical recommendations, and expert perspectives from around the world.
Topics: safety and reliability of structures, construction materials and methods, project and construction management, sustainability and circularity, structural analysis, design and optimization, structural health monitoring, assessment of existing structures, maintenance and interventions on existing structures, life cycle management, forensic structural engineering, modern calculation techniques like FEM, parametric design and AI, BIM, effects of climate change.
Publication and distribution: As of 2021, IABSE established partnership with Structurae for the print and production of IABSE Bulletins and Conference Proceedings, along with distribution of its publications in various channels, through the vast network of Structurae.
