PROGRAMME
I. Technical session: Presentation of research papers or project reports
Young engineers (under about 40 years old) present research papers on any topic in structural engineering including PhD and MS studies. They also present technical reports on construction projects of any kind of structures. The presentation will be made aurally.
II. Bridge Design Competition:
Teams of young engineers (under about 40 years old) will design a footbridge in the specified location. The design sites and the related information are provided in separate documents. The international experts from the IABSE national groups will evaluate the submitted designs.
III. Social Activities
Colloquium buffet party and the award ceremony are arranged.

Speed Networking Session
Objective
The aim of this program is to provide guidance to the young engineer, based on technical knowledge as well as hard and soft skills required in the profession, by senior engineers. The session should facilitate a transfer of knowledge, skills, and experience which can help in the personal and professional growth of the young engineer.
This session will be carried out in a friendly way at lunch time. Senior members are available at the rooms and exchange of A mentor presents a short PPT about their career-journey with a personal touch, and interact with the present audience.

Mentoring Session
Objective

Mentor
Shunichi Nakamura, Emeritus Professor of Tokai University, Japan
He worked for a steel company as a structural engineer for 21 years. He was engaged in may bridge projects including the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the Tokyo Aqui-line Bridge. In his second career he became a professor and taught bridge engineering, structural analysis and structural dynamics. He supervised. His career as an engineer and academia would be useful.
