Symposium Proceedings 

The Symposium proceedings will be available in electronic format at the beginning of the Symposium. Authors must register for the Symposium: www.iabse.org/Guwahati2027 in order to have their paper presented in the Symposium and published in the proceedings. 

Young Engineers Programme

Delegates born in 1992 or later will benefit from reduced registration fees. In addition, a jury will select two outstanding young authors, born in or after 1992, who have personally presented their papers during the Symposium, to receive the Young Engineers’ Contribution Award.

The awards, consisting of financial prizes, are sponsored by the IABSE Fellows and the Organising Committee and will be presented during the Closing Ceremony of the Symposium.

  • Bridge/Structure Modelling Competition - This Ice Breaker Activity will promote interaction and collaboration between young engineers and esteemed IABSE fellows. The participants will work together in teams to build structure models.
  • Rapid Design Challenge - A time-bound competition to develop practical solutions to an engineering problem.
  • Reserved Bar– A specially reserved bar for the Young Engineers to break the ice with fun events.
  • Speed Networking Session - Young Engineers will be given exclusive opportunity to interact with Senior IABSE Members for Career Advice & widen their network.
  • Dedicated Young Engineers Special Session - A platform for young engineers to share ideas,experiences and emerging engineering trends
