The 8th Young Engineers Colloquium
Organised by the German and the Italian National Groups of IABSE

This Colloquium offers you the opportunity to present your interesting project from university, research or construction practice to an audience of fellow engineers from the civil engineering sector. It provides attendees with an overview of current research topics as well as challenging construction projects and is an excellent platform to exchange ideas among experienced and young engineers.

The IABSE Young Engineers Colloquium East Asia and Germany
Organised by the East Asian and German  Groups of IABSE

The primary objective of this colloquium is to help young structural engineers (under the age of 40) make friends, learn from each other, and develop their professional career together.  The event is organized by the IABSE National Groups of Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong and Germany and we welcome young engineers in the world.

In these short videos, Geralt Siebert, Chair; Prof. Barbara Siebert, and Peter Seitz, Secretary talk about the upcoming YEC which will take place in Tokyo in 2025 and also why one should join IABSE.

The German Group of IABSE organised the 7th 'The Young Engineers Colloquium 2023 (YEC)' as an annual event for young engineers and pratictioners at the Technische Universität Dresden from 30-31 May, 2023, in association with the Czech Group of IABSE. This colloquium offered the opportunity to young engineers to present their interesting project from university, research or construction practice to an audience of fellow engineers from the civil engineering sector. It provided attendees with an overview of current research topics as well as challenging construction projects, and was an excellent platform to exchange ideas among experienced and young engineers.
