Wuhu Double-Deck Cable-Stayed Bridge

The Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge is a combined rail and highway bridge with a double-deck carrying two railway tracks and 4 lanes of traffic. The total length of the railway bridge is 10 511 m, and the length of the highway bridge is 5681 m. The length of the bridge across the Yangtze river is 2194 m, comprised of steel trusses with a main bridge that is cable-stayed.
The main bridge, a double-deck cablestayed bridge, has a main span of 312 m across the main navigation channel with side spans of 180 m. The height of the pylon above the roadway deck is 33,27 m. Eight pairs of parallel-wire stay cables are mounted on each pylon, and horizontal longitudinal cables are arranged between the steel girder and the crossbeams between the two pylon legs on top of the piers.
