Author Guidelines Checklist
If you wish to submit a manuscript, please submit the following to the
SEI Online Management System.
Author Guidelines Checklist for Online Full Paper Submission (ScholarOne):
1. Text and Tables as a separate Word file, without Author names and details.
2. Figures as separate eps, tiff or high resolution jpg files (355 dpi resolution, 10 cm width minimum). Authors are requested to submit original photographs, or arrange for the necessary non-exclusive copyrights.
3. Author and Co-author Details (Full name, designation, postal address, email id, tel.no.) to be filled in while submitting the paper in ScholarOne and as a separate Cover Letter.
4. Indicate the Submission Category (Note the word limit): e.g. Structures Worldwide: ~1600 words, 3-5 figures Reports: ~2400 words, 5-8 figures Science and Technology: ~4000 words, 8-10 figures and Authors’ portrait photos.
5. Every paper should have a 'Summary', 'Introduction', 'Conclusion' and 5-7 Keywords. 'Recent Structures' papers should also have a SEI Data Block.
6. English: The style, grammar and phrasing should be edited by a person with an excellent command of English and a good understanding of structural engineering terminology. Please review and edit the English in your paper - prior to submission. Manuscripts with poor structure and many grammatical mistakes may not be further evaluated, so please check before you submit.
Following the author guidelines will greatly facilitate the review and editorial process. Submission to publication takes around 6-9 months. We follow blind review process (authors and reviewers names remain anonymous to each other).
Once you submit your paper, you can track the current status of your paper anytime online with your user ID and password.
