Mission
The Working Commission is, in its field of activity, responsible for the active support of the objectives of the Association. It support in this respect all other committees of the Association.

Field of activity
WC 4 promotes the technical discussion of topics related to: methodology for design and construction of durable structures; analysis of deterioration and pathologies in structures (causes, processes, types and consequences); accidental damages (fire, earthquake, scour and explosion); inspection and maintenance techniques (intervals, methodology); evaluation of service life (tests, monitoring, criteria); management systems (technical, economical and organisational aspects); rehabilitation, repair and strengthening (techniques and methodology); demolition, disposal and recycling of construction debris. The study of pathologies and rehabilitation techniques for historical monuments is also considered.
