The Foundation was created in 1993 with the 65'000 CHF surplus from funds donated by various sources as a deficit guarantee for the IABSE Conference in Davos, 1992. More than 48 donations have since been made to the Foundation, and the total assets now stand at 500'000 CHF. These donations are listed below according to donor categories. The Foundation Council is particularly pleased that the Japanese Group of IABSE has become the first Foundation Patron, and thanks them, and all donors, for their benevolance.
The Foundation welcomes gifts of any size. Pledges may be made in the form of annual payments over a five-year period to the IABSE Foundation.
