The current edition of the By-laws took effect on January 1, 2009.
The By-laws are the Association's basic document which defines the objectives and field of activities, the organisation and responsibilities of various committees. They fix the financial responsibility of the Association and the members.
Standing Orders
The Standing Orders are documents settling procedures for the management of the Association activities.
Other Governing Documents
Long Range Plan
The Long Range Plan defines more precisely the objectives defined in the By-laws. It presents a programme of activities which could guide the Association for the next 3- 5 years.
Ethical Principles for the Practice of Structural Engineering
An Ethics Committee reviewed a considerable number of documents on ethics adopted by national organizations. It was recognized that there were many common principles that should form a basis for an IABSE document on ethics.
The Executive Committee approved the document in 2002.

IABSE has a set of Declarations:

The IABSE Logo
IABSE Members, Committees and National Goups are welcome to use the IABSE Logo. In co-sponsoring an activity (conference or publication) the IABSE may authorise the use of the Logo. IABSE owns the copyright of the IABSE Logo.
