NEW IABSE Publication: 
‘Assessment, Upgrading and Refurbishment of Infrastructures'

The IABSE Conference ‘Assessment, Upgrading and Refurbishment of Infrastructures’, Rotterdam, May 6-8, 2013, attracted 560 delegates from 48 countries. The Report has been published, including 6 Keynote Lectures and 262 Papers.

The five main conference themes encompassed: Load Carrying Capacity and Remaining Lifetime; Assessment of Structural Condition; Modernisation and Refurbishment; Materials and Products; Structural Verification. The papers are classified according to 24 subthemes, due to the numerous approaches, concepts and systems being developed for keeping infrastructure reliable. The report reflects the high standard of the conference repeatedly expressed by the Scientific Committee members.
