Faculty Position in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Princeton University, Professorship. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position with a preferred start date of September 1, 2018. The search is open for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor appointments. A Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of innovation and creativity in research addressing important and emerging topics in civil and environmental engineering. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 1) Cities and the Urban Environment, 2) Environmental Bioengineering, and 3) Water, Energy and Climate.
It is expected that the successful candidate will make substantial contributions to the diverse, interdisciplinary research and teaching mission of the CEE Department. The department has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in both civil engineering and environmental engineering. Applicants should have interest in, and competence for, teaching broad undergraduate and advanced graduate courses in CEE. Candidates must have the ability and motivation to develop a vigorous independent research program and to participate in collaborative efforts of the faculty. The CEE department has strong ties with other departments, centers, and institutes at Princeton that focus on urban studies, architecture, energy, environment, and materials science; the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop initiatives that establish and strengthen such connections.
