Professor Dan M. Frangopol is looking for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate on projects related to lifecycle reliability and risk, maintenance, health monitoring, management and optimization of civil and marine infrastructure systems. Candidates must have a Ph.D. strong background and research accomplishments in structural engineering in one or more of the following areas:

Structural Reliability and Probabilistic Methods, Risk Assessment and Decision Making under Uncertainty, Climate Change Adaptation, Monitoring-Maintenance-Management-Cost of Civil and Marine Infrastructure (particularly bridges and ships), Structural Optimization, and Life-Cycle Engineering.

Starting date is June 2018, but this is negotiable.

Lehigh has internationally respected programs and outstanding structural research facilities including the Computational Laboratory for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering. The interdisciplinary research program brings together internationally recognized faculty and staff that have a well-established tradition of developing and implementing technology.
